I want to thank the WARD D nurses, my orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Craig Solomon, and everyone else who has taken such good care of me. At the age of 59, I unintentionally fell onto a concrete floor on April 19, 2017, from a sliding ladder that was three metres high.
Needless to say, I went immediately to the emergency department at 7:00 that night. This was not a joke.
He discovered it was a calcaneus and colles fracture, two very significant fractures.
He dialled the "on-call orthopaedic doctor" right away.
