The business's indigenous gardens, rain tanks, water treatment systems, vegetable gardens, and environmentally friendly home, which was architecturally designed by one of Bloemfontein's top architectural practises, Smit Architects, demonstrate the owners Dawie Human and Henning de Bruin's passion for protecting the environment in which we live.
The proprietors have been motivated to use as much organic farming as possible and to solely grow native flora.
Previously unattractive barns, the property's buildings are now stunning architectural works that integrate seamlessly into the Free State environment.
The internal heating and cooling of the buildings was intended to consume as little energy as possible, and the majority of the original building materials were reused or repurposed.
The proprietors' passion for art, antiques, and travel is reflected in the main building's interior.
Each of the five rooms is opulently furnished with a sheeps wool duvet and cotton percale bedding, a TV with DSTV, a full bathroom, an electronic safe, an electric blanket, and coffee and tea making amenities.
Every room is smoke-free.
We consider ourselves to be a part of the environment here at Liedjiesbos B&B. We are aware that we share the world with other people, therefore we do our best to accommodate everyone.
The majority of our fruits, flowers, and vegetables are grown on the property.
Enjoy our indigenous garden; we welcome you to be inspired. We are happy to be South Africans when it comes to our environment.
There is a little library in the living room area.
