I was looking for a profession that would allow me to combine my passion for working with people and kids and my love of design and creation. I had the idea to start Baby Cuddles, a small toy manufacturing facility where I could use all of my skills to make high-quality soft toys the old-fashioned way. All of our employees are located in Kylemore, a quaint missionary community outside of Stellenbosch. I consider myself fortunate to have the chance to work with a group of lovely local women who, no matter what life throws at them, are always joyful and smiling. This experience has undoubtedly enhanced the quality of my life. Together, we design and make handmade soft toys, nursery décor, clothing, and blankets for infants, toddlers, and those who are still young at heart. Each of our lovely knitted, crocheted, and fabric animals and teddy bears has a unique personality thanks to the handmade nature of the item. People's smiles when they receive a gift that was made with care and attention to detail are contagious.
