In 1997, Melanie Naude graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in speech pathology and audiology.
She was given the chance to work with renowned specialists for two years in a permanent role as a speech therapist and audiologist at Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town.
She chose to focus on audiology in 1999 and landed a job as an audiologist at The Ear Institute in Bellville.
She and her husband JP moved to Port Elizabeth in 2003.
